Meeting friends online is kind of scary. There’s always the fear of someone being a catfish, or being a creepy old man pedofile.
I have met quite a few of my friends online.
Even some that live near me and we just never knew eachother because we went to different schools.
Nothing beats the feeling of meeting someone in person for the first time. It’s crazy not seeing them behind a screen. It’s nice to be able to hug them and talk for hours without FaceTime buffering.
It’s honestly the craziest feeling. You won’t understand if you haven’t experienced it.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that internet friends aren’t real friends.
Friend #1
This is a guy friend that I met a while ago. He like disappeared from the internet, but he was like a big brother to me. I told him everything, and he always stuck up for me.
We met through a band called “Emblem3” and I don’t like that band anymore nor do they exist anymore. I mean they exist they just aren’t together anymore.
He was the one I came home and talked to about my day everyday until poof he just disappeared.
I miss him a lot.
Friend #2
This friend lived around me and I had no idea. We also met through that emblem3 band. We began talking and facetiming all the time. She was a really close friend.
Then eventually we met in person, and we have been to concerts together, carnivals, and she’s even visited me at work. Our parents are even low key friends now.
Friend #3
I met this friend through Instagram we both just randomly started talking and instantly clicked. We have a lot and common and it was never awkward talking to him.
I’ve only seen him in person twice even though he lives not that far away. Just our schedules clash.
But we Snapchat a lot and I rant to him about my problems 24/7.
These are my main internet friends that I have in my life.
I have met many more and I have met them and seen them at concerts or I text them every once and a while.
I feel like they are here for me more than some of my friends I’ve met through school.
And I’ve met these people by chance and you just never know who you’ll end up being friends with🤷🏻♀️
